
Christian Garciga
Economic Analyst
Christian Garciga is an economic analyst in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In this role, Christian conducts academic research, works on special projects related to monetary policy, and provides direct speech support for the Bank’s president. His research interests include applications of econometric and machine learning methods to macroeconomic and financial forecasting and nowcasting.
Christian joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as a research analyst in 2015, and prior to rejoining the Research Department as an economic analyst in 2021, he was a data scientist in the Bank’s Supervision and Regulation division.
A native of South Florida, Christian holds a BS in business administration and a BA in political science from the University of Florida and an MA in economics from Duke University.
