The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and its Center for Inflation Research invite you to attend the next Cleveland Fed Conversations on Central Banking. The session, titled “The Case for Central Bank Independence” will be held virtually on Thursday, May 14 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm EST. Each panelist will give a five-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute panel discussion and 10 minutes of moderated Q&A.

In this Conversations on Central Banking webinar, panelists will discuss insights from academic research on central bank independence and accountability. The discussion could touch on various issues including measures of central bank independence, its importance for credibility and price stability, and the role of a decentralized central bank system in promotion of its independence.
