Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Announces Officer Promotion

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland announces that Carolyn Williams has been promoted to vice president. In this role, Williams will continue to oversee the Bank’s law enforcement units in the Cleveland and Cincinnati offices.

Williams began her career at the Cleveland Fed in 2011. During her tenure, she has guided the Bank’s law enforcement unit to create one of only two cross-District training academies in the Federal Reserve System, and built relationships between the Bank and its local law enforcement communities, thereby improving community relations.

Prior to joining the Bank, Williams worked for the Department of Justice in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in New Jersey, where she served as assistant special agent in charge of field operations for the Newark Field Division. She holds an AA in law enforcement from Chicago Loop College, a BS in physical education from George Williams College, and an MPA from American University.

Williams is a member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and the Cuyahoga County Police Chiefs Association, and she serves on the board of directors of the Cleveland Police Foundation and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center.
