David A. Jackson

Vice President and Community Affairs Officer

David A. Jackson serves as vice president and community affairs officer for the community development team in the External Engagement Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In this role, he provides strategic leadership across the community development team’s research, engagement, and economic education portfolios, leading work to strengthen community development strategy and practice throughout the Fourth Federal Reserve District. Jackson has more than 25 years of leadership experience in community economic development, finance, affordable housing, and workforce development.

Jackson previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he most recently served as assistant vice president of the community and economic development team. His other previous positions include deputy executive director for the Atlanta Beltline Partnership, president and CEO of the Atlanta Center for Working Families, Inc., and assistant commissioner for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. He holds a BS in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
