Cleveland Fed forms Financial Markets Advisory Council

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has named 14 members to its new Financial Markets Advisory Council.

The council was created to provide Cleveland Fed leaders with high-level insights into the state of the economy, financial markets, and risks to the financial system.

The council consists of business economists and financial institution leaders from across the country. They are:

  • Jonathan Bauer — Chief Investment Officer, The Progressive Corporation
  • Laura Chepucavage — Managing Director, Head of Global Rates, Global Financing and Futures and Counterparty Portfolio Management, Bank of America
  • Jason Cummins — Head of Research and Chief US Economist, Brevan Howard Inc.
  • Sara Devereux — Principal, Global Head of Fixed Income Group, Vanguard
  • Jason Granet — Chief Investment Officer, BNY
  • Michael Harris — Vice Chairman and Global Head of Capital Markets, New York Stock Exchange
  • Gautam Khanna — Portfolio Manager, DRW
  • Carey Lathrop — CEO, Atlas SP
  • David Mericle — Chief US Economist, Global Investment Research, Goldman Sachs
  • Christopher Milligan — Portfolio Manager, Millennium Management
  • Nela Richardson — PhD, Chief Economist and ESG Officer, ADP Inc.
  • Brian Sack — Head of Macro Strategy, Balyasny Asset Management
  • Bari Spielfogel — Managing Director and Head of Global Inflation Products, CITI
  • Ritchie Tuazon — Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, Capital Group

Members will rotate over time, serving three-year terms with the possibility of renewal.

Cleveland Fed staff are prohibited from discussing non-public material or confidential supervisory information with members of the council. The council’s charter is available on its webpage at clevelandfed.org.

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that along with the Board of Governors in Washington DC comprise the Federal Reserve System. Part of the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in the formulation of our nation’s monetary policy, supervises banking organizations, provides payment and other services to financial institutions and to the US Treasury, and performs many activities that support Federal Reserve operations System-wide. In addition, the Bank supports the well-being of communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District through a wide array of research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Cleveland Fed, with branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves an area that comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
