Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland announces senior officer appointment

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has announced that Margie Wright-McGowan will be joining the Bank as a senior vice president, effective May 22, 2017. Wright-McGowan will lead the Bank’s Human Resources (HR) and Office of Diversity and Inclusion functions and serve as a member of the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team.

Wright-McGowan has an extensive background in HR leadership with a particular focus on employee engagement, retention, and talent development. She joins the Cleveland Reserve Bank from Vitamix in Cleveland, where she currently serves on the senior leadership team as vice president of Human Resources, Talent & Culture. Prior to joining Vitamix, Wright-McGowan was a member of the leadership team for Siemens Healthcare (now Siemens Healthineers), responsible for HR functions for Siemens Healthcare’s largest business unit. She also served as an HR executive with Dade Behring, Inc.

Wright-McGowan holds a BA in political science from Ohio University. She has completed Yale University’s strategic management program and the University of Michigan’s human resources development program.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that along with the Board of Governors in Washington DC comprise the Federal Reserve System. Part of the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in the formulation of our nation’s monetary policy, supervises banking organizations, provides payment and other services to financial institutions and to the US Treasury, and performs many activities that support Federal Reserve operations System-wide. In addition, the Bank supports the well-being of communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District through a wide array of research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Cleveland Fed, with branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves an area that comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
