Vanderlip Joins Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as Vice President of Human Resources

Michelle C. Vanderlip joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as vice president of human resources, effective June 28, 2006. Her responsibilities include talent management, organization and leadership development, performance management, and succession planning for the Bank, including its branch offices in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

Prior to joining the Bank, Vanderlip was principal consultant at the SOAR Consulting Group, LLC, a human resources consulting firm. Vanderlip also previously held human resource positions with Baker & Hostetler, LLP, Ernst & Young, and Parker Hannifin Corporation.

Vanderlip has a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a master's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University. She has also completed post-graduate programs at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. 

Vanderlip is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the International Coaching Federation, the Human Resource Planning Society, the American Society for Training and Development, and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that along with the Board of Governors in Washington DC comprise the Federal Reserve System. Part of the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in the formulation of our nation’s monetary policy, supervises banking organizations, provides payment and other services to financial institutions and to the US Treasury, and performs many activities that support Federal Reserve operations System-wide. In addition, the Bank supports the well-being of communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District through a wide array of research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Cleveland Fed, with branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves an area that comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
