Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland names new Advisory Council Members

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland announced the following appointments to its Community Bank and Business Advisory Councils. All appointments are for three-year terms.

Community Bank Advisory Council

  • Marlene K. Barkheimer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Farmers State Bank, West Salem, Ohio
  • Charles K. Graham, President and Chief Executive Officer, Progressive Bank, N.A., Wheeling, West Virginia
  • (Mr.) Dorsey G. Hall, II, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Somerset National Bank, Somerset, Kentucky
  • (Mr.) Dallas C. Hipple, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Mars National Bank, Mars, Pennsylvania
  • (Mr.) G. W. Holden, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Farmers Citizens Bank, Bucyrus, Ohio
  • (Mr.) Orval H. Homan, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Minster Bank, Minster, Ohio
  • Edward J. McKeon, President and Chief Executive Officer, Western Reserve Bank, Medina, Ohio
  • Charles G. Urtin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Irwin Bank and Trust Company, Irwin, Pennsylvania

The Community Bank Advisory Council meets three times a year with Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Jerry Jordan and other Bank officials. The Council was formed in 1985 to help inform the Cleveland Fed about issues of interest and concern to community bankers in the Fourth Federal Reserve District.

The Business Advisory Council meets three times a year with Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Jerry Jordan and other Bank officials. The Council was established in 1985 to provide a forum for discussion of economic conditions and their effects on business in the Fourth Federal Reserve District.

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that along with the Board of Governors in Washington DC comprise the Federal Reserve System. Part of the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in the formulation of our nation’s monetary policy, supervises banking organizations, provides payment and other services to financial institutions and to the US Treasury, and performs many activities that support Federal Reserve operations System-wide. In addition, the Bank supports the well-being of communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District through a wide array of research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Cleveland Fed, with branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves an area that comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
