Mark S. Meder

Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mark S. Meder is interim president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.  As the Bank’s first vice president and chief operating officer, he will assume the president’s responsibilities under the terms of the Federal Reserve Act beginning July 1, 2024, until the start of Beth M. Hammack’s term on August 21, 2024.

Mr. Meder and the executive leadership team oversee the 1,100 employees in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh who conduct economic research, supervise banking institutions, and provide payment services to depository institutions.  He has primary responsibility for all operating and support activities in the Cleveland Reserve Bank headquarters and in the Bank’s Pittsburgh and Cincinnati Branches.
