Christian Garciga is an economic analyst in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In this role, Mr. Garciga conducts research and works on special projects related to monetary policy. His research focuses on leveraging AI and natural language processing (NLP) to derive insights from unstructured data relevant to monetary policy, macroeconomics, and forecasting.
Prior to rejoining the Research Department as an economic analyst in 2021, Mr. Garciga served as a data scientist in the Bank’s Supervision and Regulation division and as a research analyst in the Research Department.
Mr. Garciga holds a BSBA in economics and a BA in political science from the University of Florida and an MA in economics from Duke University.
