The Economic Research Departmentof the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is pleased to host the 31st Annual Meeting of the Midwest Econometrics Group. The conference will be held in person in Cleveland, OH on October 12-13, 2023.

The conference will begin at 12 pm on Thursday, October 12 and end by 5 pm on Friday, October 13. Andrew Patton, the Zelter Family Distinguished Professor of Economics and Professor of Finance at Duke University, will be the dinner speaker on October 12.

The traditional mentoring workshop for junior women economists will be held on the morning of Thursday, October 12, with a dinner the previous evening.

Submissions of research papers related to applied, empirical, or theoretical econometrics in all fields of economics are welcome. The deadline for submissions is July 21, 2023. In addition, please note that authors of accepted papers will be required to register for the conference by September 8, 2023 in order to be included on the program.

Starting this year, MEG will make two “MEG Best Student Paper Awards” with $1,000 prize each to the two best student papers presented at the annual MEG conference. All students attending the annual MEG conference are eligible to apply (awards will go to presenters). To apply, check the relevant box when registering for the conference (registration will open once acceptance decisions are announced).
