2017 Accounting Roundtable

Building on the success of past years' programs, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is partnering with the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions (ODFI) to host another Accounting Roundtable on Monday, September 18, 2017. The roundtable provides a forum for regulators and practitioners in the District to discuss the pressing accounting issues facing the industry today. As we know, there have been some significant pieces of accounting guidance released recently, with more on the horizon. The meeting will be led by a panel of accounting and internal control supervisory specialists from the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions. The agenda will include topics such as:

  • Banking Conditions and Economic Update
  • Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) Model: Timing, Key Points, Potential Impact, and Preparatory Work
  • Changes to the Ohio Banking Code
  • Lease Accounting
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Q&A

This will be the first joint roundtable between the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and the ODFI. The joint venture is sure to provide thorough coverage of the topics discussed, as well as insight from the regulator perspective.
