2017 Financial Stability and Fintech Conference
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Office of Financial Research, and the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business held the 2017 Financial Stability and Fintech Conference on November 30–December 1, 2017, in Washington DC.
The conference highlighted research and facilitated discussions on the financial stability implications of financial innovation on policy and regulation. The conference brought together policy makers, industry representatives, and scholars from computer science, economics, engineering, finance, and other related fields. Keynote speakers included Governor Randal Quarles of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and David Yermack of New York University. The conference also featured research forums and policy panel discussions. Additionally, the Bank hosted a networking reception at the end of the first day of the conference.
