Visit the Education and Learning Center

Stand beneath our 23-foot-tall money tree, trade on Barter Islands, try to identify counterfeit dollar bills, and make your own currency! Experience our hands-on, interactive exhibits to learn about the history of money, cybersecurity, cash operations, and more. 
The Education and Learning Center will be closed the following dates:

  • February 26, 27, 28
  • March 20
  • March 25, 26, 27
  • April 8


The Education and Learning Center is located in the historic lobby of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, 1455 East Sixth Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44114

Hours of operation

Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Closed bank holidays and occasionally closed for special events


Education and Learning Center visitors should enter at the East Sixth entrance. Guests who are unable to climb stairs and those with strollers can access the Bank and Center at our Superior Avenue entrance.


Admission is free


The Education and Learning Center does not have on-site parking. However, there are public parking lots and garages within a few blocks of the Center on Rockwell Avenue, Superior Avenue, and Ninth Street. We do not validate parking

Know before you go

  • We recommend that groups do not exceed 6 individuals.
  • Visitors age 18 and up must present a valid driver’s license, school ID, or other photo identification for admission to the building.
  • Please limit the number of bags, backpacks, or purses you bring into the building. All personal items are subject to X-ray screening and everyone passes through a metal detector before entering the building.
  • Photography in the Education and Learning Center is welcome! However, photography is not allowed in other areas of the building.
  • Videotaping is not allowed anywhere in the building.
