Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Names New Senior Vice President of Cash Services, Facilities, and Law Enforcement

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland announced the appointment of Mouneer Ahmad as senior vice president of the Bank’s Cash Services, Facilities, and Law Enforcement areas effective November 14, 2016. Ahmad will also become a member of the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team.

Ahmad has extensive experience in organizational management and business process optimization. He comes to the Cleveland Reserve Bank from Deloitte Consulting, where he has been a senior manager in the finance strategy and operations practice. In this role, he led several process, organization, and systems strategy development efforts, including mergers and system consolidation programs, for multi-billion-dollar companies.

Prior to his work with Deloitte, Ahmad served as a manager in the business advisory area of Ernst & Young and as a senior consultant in the strategy, process, and transformation area of BearingPoint. In addition, he was US financial operations lead in organizational development and process improvement at Oilily Retail USA, for which he managed all accounting and finance functions.

Ahmad is a member of the Association for Operations Management or APICS (the American Production and Inventory Control Society). He holds a BS in finance from the Northern Illinois University College of Business.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that along with the Board of Governors in Washington DC comprise the Federal Reserve System. Part of the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in the formulation of our nation’s monetary policy, supervises banking organizations, provides payment and other services to financial institutions and to the US Treasury, and performs many activities that support Federal Reserve operations System-wide. In addition, the Bank supports the well-being of communities across the Fourth Federal Reserve District through a wide array of research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Cleveland Fed, with branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves an area that comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
