Careers in IT and STEM are hot! The You Make I.T. Better program invites high school students to explore various STEM career paths through hands-on, skill-building activities and mentorships with employees at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

Spearheaded by Cleveland Fed President Dr. Loretta Mester with five other Federal Reserve Banks—including the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago, Kansas City, Richmond (Charlotte Branch), San Francisco, and Dallas—the Fed Future Professionals Program (Fed Futures) is designed to introduce and develop knowledge and awareness of careers in the financial industry.
Fed Futures combines curricula and activities created by the Federal Reserve System to provide a continuum of skill development, training, and professional mentoring that highlights career paths in finance and economics. The year-round preparatory, paid program is designed to develop a diverse pool of future interns and employee candidates in the finance and economics fields throughout the Federal Reserve System.
The program consists of three student cohorts from the Fourth Federal Reserve District (Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia) who will participate in
- seven live virtual professional development sessions (monthly)
- bi-weekly mentoring from a Bank professional throughout the program
- an eight-week summer job shadowing experience

Danny Dollar Academy
Danny Dollar Academy is a free financial literacy program facilitated by the Cleveland Fed. The program promotes entrepreneurship, personal finance, civic responsibility, and smart financial decision-making to students in the third through fifth grades.
Danny Dollar is based on a financial literacy curriculum that accompanies the best-selling children’s book Danny Dollar Millionaire Extraordinaire: The Lemonade Escapade by Ty Allan Jackson.
As part of the program, which runs November 2022 through May 2023, educators will
- attend a 30-minute virtual information session to learn more about the program and how to implement it in your classroom (registration for information sessions are now live! Register now)
- receive a suite of award-winning financial literacy curriculum (available as a printable pdf, publication, or Google Doc)
- gain access to a series of short videos about important financial literacy concepts
- participate in a virtual student activity midway through the program with program-aligned activities
- complete a classroom capstone project for the chance to win prizes
- receive access to attend a virtual or in-person visit with the book’s author

Economic Scholars Program
The Cleveland Fed’s Economic Scholars Program took place on May 5, 2023. This free event allows undergraduate economic students to share their work, participate in an economic research conference, network with peers, and discover future opportunities.
