Jan-Peter Siedlarek is a research economist in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is interested in social and economic networks and their applications in banking, financial markets, and other areas of economics. His current research focuses on the role of intermediaries in networked markets.

Before joining the Cleveland Reserve Bank in 2015, Dr. Siedlarek was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim. He also worked as a consultant in the antitrust and competition policy group at National Economic Research Associates, Inc. NERA Economic Consulting is a global firm of experts dedicated to applying economic, finance, and quantitative principles to complex business and legal challenges.

Dr. Siedlarek holds a BA Hons degree in economics and management and an MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence.
