President and CEO

Freestore Foodbank

Kurt Reiber has served as president and CEO of the Freestore Foodbank since 2012. Feeding American has recognized Kurt and his team for their work in capacity development for their community partners and for their innovative work in workforce training, and inducted Freestore into Feeding America’s 2021 Advocacy Hall of Fame.

Prior to his current role, Kurt served on Freestore’s Board of Directors from 1996 to 2010, including four years as chairman of the board. Before devoting his work fulltime to Freestore, Kurt served as senior vice president of the Real Estate Capital Group of KeyBank for 29 years. Kurt is an accomplished executive with more 40 years of experience in the non-profit and for-profit sectors.

Kurt graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University with a BA in economics and finance and holds a JD and MBA from the University of Toledo. He is a member of Leadership Cincinnati’s Class #36 and Leadership Northern Kentucky 2017, and was named 2020 Nonprofit CEO of the Year by the Cincinnati Business Courier and received the Southwest Ohio 2022 People of Vision Award from the Ohio affiliate of Prevent Blindness.
