Owen F. Humpage is a senior economic advisor specializing in international economics in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. His research focuses on the international aspects of central bank policies and has appeared in the International Journal of Central Banking, the International Journal of Finance and Economics, and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Recently, Dr. Humpage co-authored a history of US foreign exchange operations.
Dr. Humpage joined the Bank as an economic analyst in 1973. He was promoted to economist in 1978 and to his present position in 2006. Dr. Humpage has taught at Case Western Reserve University, Oberlin College, Cleveland State University, and Baldwin-Wallace University.
A native Clevelander, Dr. Humpage received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Dayton, an MA in economics from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and a PhD in economics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
