Merissa Piazza

Senior Community Development Analyst

Merissa C. Piazza is a senior community development analyst in the Community Development Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Her work focuses on the indicators and issues affecting low- to moderate-income communities as well as applied research.

Prior to joining the Cleveland Reserve Bank, Ms. Piazza served as a program manager for the Center for Economic Development at Cleveland State University, where she conducted applied research on economic development, entrepreneurship, small businesses, and workforce development.

Ms. Piazza holds a BA in political science and Spanish from Oakland University, an MPIA (public and international affairs) from the University of Pittsburgh, and a PhD in urban studies and public affairs from Cleveland State University.
