Roberto Pinheiro is a senior research economist at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is an active researcher in labor markets, organization economics, venture capital, and the economics of health care. His research has been published in leading economic journals, such as the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Economic Theory, and International Economic Review, among others.
Before joining the Cleveland Reserve Bank in 2015, Dr. Pinheiro was an assistant professor of finance at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Dr. Pinheiro received a bachelor's degree in economics from University of São Paulo. He holds an MA and PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MA in economics from the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro.
