Sewon Hur is a research economist in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He specializes in macroeconomics and international economics.
Before joining the Bank in 2018, Dr. Hur was an assistant professor of economics at the University of Pittsburgh. He has also taught at the University of Minnesota and Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea.
Dr. Hur earned a BA in political science and a BA in economics from Yonsei University in 2003 and received a PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota in 2012. He is married and the father of two children.
