The Cleveland Financial Stress Index

In May of 2016, we discovered errors in the calculation of the CFSI and began a detailed review of the index and its underlying model. Following that review, we decided to discontinue the CFSI. (Financial stress/financial conditions indexes are available from the St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago Feds.)

The Cleveland Fed now provides a systemic risk indicator that gauges the level of systemic risk in the US financial services industry.
