President Mester: 'Job one' for Fed is to get inflation under control

With inflation at an unacceptably high level, Fed policymakers “have to be very deliberate and intentional about continuing on this path of raising our interest rate until we...see convincing evidence” that inflation “is on a downward path and it's sustainably on a downward path,” President Mester said in a July 13 interview with Bloomberg TV’s Kathleen Hays. "Right now, job one for us is to get inflation under control."
