- In a recent speech at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Community Reinvestment Forum in Columbus, Ohio, President Jerry L. Jordan urged lenders to reconsider the problems associated with improving credit access in America’s inner cities. According to Jordan, although eliminating lending discrimination clearly deserves a high priority among banking regulators, minority communities also stand to benefit tremendously from public policies that recognize solutions predicated on economic development.
