Executive Assistant
Joan Curran Darkortey is an executive assistant in the Legal Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. She provides legal, administrative, and office management support to the general counsel and three staff attorneys who primarily practice corporate,employment, contracts, and banking supervision law.
Mrs. Darkortey joined the Cleveland Reserve Bank in 2007. Her previous work experience includes paralegal and office management positions at Emory University; Dietrick, Evans, Scholz & Williams, LLC, a mid-size litigation law firm; and the Cable News Network (CNN).
A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a degree in political science, she is passionate about economic development and poverty reduction, especially in emerging nations, and is the co-founder of the Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI), a Cleveland-based non-profit organization.
