McGowan Named 4D Community Affairs Officer

Laura K. McGowan, assistant vice president and corporate secretary for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, has been named community affairs officer for the Bank.

McGowan joined the Bank in 1982 in the Research Department. She also worked in the Bank's Marketing Division before transferring to the Check Administration Department, where she was named operations manager. She was promoted to assistant vice president in 1990, and in 1993 assumed the additional role of corporate secretary. In 1994 she was named to head the Bank's Corporate Communications and Community Affairs Department.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, along with its offices in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh and its regional check processing center in Columbus, serves the Fourth Federal Reserve District, which includes Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
