Banking responsibilities

The Cleveland Fed’s Supervision and Regulation staff work to protect depositors' funds, maintain a stable monetary system, promote an efficient and competitive banking system, and protect consumer rights related to banking relationships and transactions.

The Credit Risk Management function provides information and support to our account holders and works to mitigate risk to the Reserve Bank.

The Statistics and Analysis function collects, analyzes, and distributes financial and structure data. This information is used to formulate monetary policy, assess financial conditions of financial institutions, and maintain organizational structure and ownership information for Fourth District financial institutions.
