Architecture of the Pittsburgh Branch Office

Outside the building stand three cast aluminum sculptured figures symbolizing mining, agriculture, and commerce and industry. In the in front of the Bank, there is a large red sculpture created by Sylvester Damianos, a sculptor, painter, and architect.

The Board of Directors’ room features Marion Grey marble and wood paneling, providing a setting for a hand-etched aluminum panel that depicts the spirit and progress of Pittsburgh-the blast furnaces of the steel industry, the transportation facilities of the three rivers, the historic blockhouse of Fort Pitt, the front view of the Bank building, and the Cathedral of Learning of the University of Pittsburgh.

The Conference Center and its facilities are located on the first floor of the Bank adjacent to the main building entrance. Completed in 2002, the conference center makes use of the original 1931 main banking space.
