College students: Have interesting economic research to share?

Undergraduates are invited to present their research in any area associated with economics. The research may be independent or sponsored by a faculty member. Must be a current student or have graduated no earlier than summer 2011.

1st place: $200 value gift card
2nd place: $150 value gift card
3rd place: $100 value gift card
Prizes are awarded based on the quality of the research and its presentation.

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for entrants and faculty sponsors.

Interested students should send an e-mail to frenna@uakron.edu no later than April 7, 2012.

The email must include:

  1. "Undergraduate Poster Exhibit" in the Subject line
  2. Applicant's full name
  3. Title of the project
  4. Name of the faculty sponsor and of the institution
  5. Applicant's expected graduation date
  6. 250-word abstract of your project.

An e-mail from your faculty sponsor that certifies the authenticity of the work is required.

Students whose research has been accepted for the exhibit will receive guidelines for the poster presentation on April 8th.

Entrants must be current students or have graduated no earlier than summer 2010.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the exhibit if registered in advance.
