Questionable Issue: Currency of the Holocaust

Scrip from the concentration campsIn World War II concentration camps, prisoners were forced to trade their currency for worthless paper. There was nothing to buy inside the camps, and the scrip had no value on the outside. A special exhibit, Questionable Issue: Currency of the Holocaust, displays 74 facsimiles of rare scrip from 11 Nazi-imposed camps and ghettos.

This exhibit is a visual reminder that the past will not be erased and a moving tribute to all whose voices were silenced.
