Submission Requirements
An essay is a short literary composition. No other
forms of writing will be accepted (plays, poetry, rap, etc.).
Each student may submit only one essay.
Essays may discuss only movies that are rated
G, PG, or PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association. Do not assume
the reader has seen the movie.
Each student must complete a Student
Entry Form — signed by the student, parent or guardian,
and teacher — and submit it with two copies of his or
her essay. Esssays will not be returned to the author.
Essay may be no longer than three typed pages,
double-spaced, single-sided, with one-inch margins. (Page limit
does not include title page and bibliography.)
Essays must include a title page containing the
following information:
Essay title
Author's name
School name, address, telephone number
Teacher's name and e-mail address
References to primary and secondary sources must
be clearly identified.
