Electronic Submission

Methods of Electronic Submission

There are currently several methods of reporting available: Data Entry/Spreadsheet File Transfer and File Transfer of STAT Data Files via “IESUB;” Data Entry via “FR Y-10 Online;” and File Transfer via “CDR” for submitting the Call Report Data. The process for gaining access to submit a report electronically depends on which financial report is being submitted.

Submitting Call Report Data via Central Data Repository (CDR)

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Call Report Agencies (FDIC, FRB, and OCC) collaborated to develop a secure, shared database for collecting and managing quarterly Call Report data. The Central Data Repository (CDR) was implemented on October 1, 2005.

The implementation of the CDR marked a new way in how Call Report data are collected, validated, managed, and distributed. Under this new system, institutions file their Call Report data via the Internet using software that contains the FFIEC's edits for validating Call Report data before submission. Call Report software vendors modified their software to incorporate these edits, including the Reportability Edits, which flag incomplete Call Report data that are required to be reported by a financial institution. This new business model requires all FFIEC Edits to be explained or resolved before the data are accepted by the CDR.

Access Procedures

If your institution needs to submit Call Report data through the CDR, please visit the FFIEC website to enroll. (Click on the link for Financial Institutions. Under the Enrollment tab, select the Enrollment Guidelines section.)
